5/1/92  The Rave, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Thanks to Mike Powers for sending me this second set! :)

Mike's Song starts up, but the traditional opening lyrics don't begin
for 58 seconds or so.  Instead, Trey sings some of the original lyrics
first ("..Call it what you want, call it what you will, but you know
it's his song.."), and then Mike responded (but he mumbled...
something about "My song" ;).  See 7/24/88 and other older Mike's
Songs for these lyrics.

Trampolines segment begins at 2:55 after a nice few licks from Trey.
Tramps jam opens up as '92 versions typically do, with Mike funking
phaaatly on his 'doc and Page chording along with the rhythm.  Around
3:46 Mike melodiously noodles a bit, before Trey comes in darkly,
off-key, eriely sustaining.  A very powerful Mike's Song!  Trey makes
his 'doc bellow a bit around 4:30, before sustaining off-key some more
(nice, slow ascending of his 'doc in here, too). Closing tramps
segment chords around 5:23 (serious crash cymbal action from Fish!),
and at 5:39 the post-tramps segment kicks in.

Starts out rather chaotic, with no clear theme, but by 6:30 or so,
Trey breaks out sustaining a note high on his 'doc majestically.
Closing Mike's Song chords quickly follow suit, however, and this
Mike's is over by 7:23, when Hydrogen lightly segues in.  Someone lets
out a breath into the mic.. Trey doesn't start playing Hydrogen until
8:46 or something.  What was he doing?  (well, waiting for Mike to
come in.. but why so long a wait?) This might turn out to be the
longest Hydrogen I've heard given this delay.  Trey slips up a little
at 9:18 or so, and his 'doc goes out of tune a little in the next ten
seconds.  Some more slips from Trey.. not that sweet a version, but
given the drawn out opening, I think it is the longest Hydrogen I've
ever heard.  (Hydrogen is usually no more than 3 minutes)

At 10:50 Weekapaug kicks in, and there's a long, huuuuge, drawn-out
Mike solo!!  Mike's pretty repetitive, but he's still tearing it up.
Trey doesn't come in until 11:48.  Mike and Fish stop/start together a
little bit, but Page and Trey don't appear to want to play that game,
and so Mike & Fish knock it off after a few measures.

Trey's opening soloing is very passionate and fiery (you'll note that
this version wasn't that long after the incredible 4/19/92 version!),
as you'd expect.  Page also plays quite actively -- very inspired
playing from everyone, actually!!  :)  Trey soars in the upper octaves
of his 'doc around 14:20ish, but is fairly repetitive (yet
melodious).  He begins soloing profoundly well around 14:40 and just
KEEPS IT UP!!!!=^]  =^]  WOW!!!  Wonderful stuff!!  Kinda short-lived,
though.. at 15:27 the closing chords kick in and the final Weekapaug
segment begins around 15:40ish.

Trey goofs off a bit in this closing segment, and Page plays two notes
at high-speed.  Closing lyrics at 16:29.  Total time 17:10.  Have to
give this version a B- .. In the context of the entire spectrum of
YEM's that I've heard, this is certainly not one a very remarkable
version, all things considered.  But given Mike's opening to the
Weekapaug, Trey's soloing in same, and the long-ass (but not that
tight) Hydrogen, it isn't a "typical" 'C' or "C+' early 90's version,
imo.
