TweezeRep E: Bouncing, GTBT WHAT A SHOW!! Mike's Song is extremely funky
and strong. Trey does the usual off-key sustaining, but he also does some
great jamming that is ON TARGET and not deliberately f%cked-up sounding
(which is what is normal for the MikeS of this period..). It is not exceptional,
though, by any stretch. Ends at 6 mins or so, and thus is about average
for this period. H2 is beautiful as it often is. Trey takes his time opening
up the theme, but nothing especially unusual occurs. Weekapaug kicks in
at 8:37 or so, and Mike's opening solo is guick and tight and Upscale as
it usually is. It is a great version of Weekapaug, but nothing truly outrageous
(for Phish!) occurs. It is nonetheless SICK, and should be heard just so
you can hear how good Trey USUALLY is. He is all over the 'doc ... he and
the boyz just wail this version out. Still ain't shit compared to some
of the more recent Weekapaug Experiences. 4.5 rating (C). BTW, the
Tweezer at this show has a bunch of Sweet Emotion teases from Trey, and
is a much better version (compared with others) than the Weekapaug is (compared
with others). This show also has a WIPEOUT on vacuum.. check it out. This
is a must-have show, imo.
